Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: March 2026

Castello participates in affiliate marketing programs. This page explains what that means, how it works, and what it means for you as a reader.

What is affiliate marketing?

Some links on this website are affiliate links. This means that if you click a link and purchase a product, we may earn a small commission from the retailer — at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is identical to the price you would pay if you visited the retailer’s website directly.

Which programs do we participate in?

  • Amazon Associates Program — We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
  • We may also participate in other affiliate programs with third-party retailers. These will be disclosed on relevant pages.

Does this affect what we recommend?

No. Our editorial recommendations are based on genuine research, aesthetic judgement, and product quality — not on the commission rate offered by any retailer or brand. We only recommend products we believe are worth buying. We do not accept payment from brands to feature their products.

How are affiliate links marked?

We include a disclosure statement on every page and blog post that contains affiliate links, typically reading: “This post contains affiliate links. Castello earns a small commission at no extra cost to you.”

Affiliate links may not be visually distinguishable from other links. If you are unsure whether a link is an affiliate link, assume that it is.
